Acoustic Routes Ceilidh

7.30pm on 24 August at Roseneath School Hall, Roseneath, Wellington. $15 non-members, $10 members.

The Jimmies

Join The Jimmies for a mid-winter ceilidh to chase away the winter blues! With some great music and dancing,  it’ll be the warmest place in town that night. No need to know the dances, you can learn them on the night, and The Jimmies will keep you in time with their terrific tunes and incomparable calling.

The current line-up is: Mary Hubble on flute, whistles and vocals; Kevin Ikin on tenor banjo, guitar, mandolin, percussion and vocals; Ann McChesney on keyboard and vocals; Murray Kilpatrick on accordion, banjo, mandolin, guitar and vocals; Susan Ellis on fiddle and Kevin McLoughlin on bass, guitar and vocals.

While you’re catching your breath you’ll be entertained by Sarah Duckworth, with Marian and Barry Carter. Then exercise your vocal muscles with David Barnes before The Jimmies finish off the night with more dancing.
