Thursday 25 August: Young Folk Concert

Ruth MundyRuth Mundy is a story-singer whose songs will simultaneously make you smile and break your heart. With folk, protest, and indie influences, Ruth combines frank lyrics with sweet melodies. Ruth has recently recording her debut EP ‘Don’t Be A Monster’ and is enjoying performing in some of Wellington’s best loved institutions, including The Southern Cross, The Fringe Bar, Wellington Museum, and the Wellington Folk Festival. Ruth will be supported by Skye Chadwick and Ceara McAuliffe Bickerton in the first half. Skye was born and bred in Lower Hutt and enjoys playing diverse styles of music, including folk, Celtic, gypsy, and classical. Ceara hails from Nelson, and is known for her lively performances of Irish traditional music. Growing up in a musical family, Ceara has already performed at many concerts and festivals around the country.
