About

Acoustic Routes is a club based in Wellington for people who enjoy performing and listening to a wide range of music with the emphasis on acoustic styles.

We host monthly sing-around sessions, concerts and other club events which provide additional opportunities for members to perform. Currently these events are held at the Johnsonville Collective Community Hub.

We also facilitate Open Mics at The Office Pub in Newtown, and at the Plimmerton Boating Club, and other concerts and events as advertised on website.

Our concerts feature a range of performers from New Zealand and overseas, and provide an opportunity for members to perform to a supportive audience.

We support the development of young musicians, currently through the Joan Prior award, and sometimes offer workshops and other events such as “Blind Date” concerts (where musicians put their names into a hat to perform with other musicians they’ve never played with before) and more….

Physical access:
The Johnsonville Collective Community Hub is fully accessible. The Office pub venue is up a flight of stairs. Plimmerton Boating Club has a chair lift to access the venue. All venues have parking nearby and are close to public transport routes.

Come and join us.
