Entrants will play a 15-minute spot at the Joan Prior Award concert at Wellington Folk Festival (Brookfields) at Labour Weekend, October 2016. The concert will be on the Saturday afternoon. Entrants may be accompanied by a non-entrant of any age.

Note: you’ll need to attend the festival to take part in the concert. See the festival website for options.

A panel of 3 judges appointed by the Acoustic Routes committee will select the winner.

If there are more entrants than we can put on at the festival, we will select performers based on the samples provided.

There will be a cheque of $500 for the winner, paid by Acoustic Routes, who also undertake to offer the winner a booking at an Acoustic Routes concert during the following year.

All performers will be offered a year’s membership of Acoustic Routes.
